Ludo Pals (package com.kyawthet.ludopals)
Last updated: October 23, 2026 (online World Tour, nearby play, Google Play Games saving)
This policy explains what information the game uses and why. The game is made for players of all ages. You don't need an account to play, and we never ask for your email, contacts, photos or precise location. Players can't type messages to each other: in matches they can only send the game's own stickers and ready-made phrases.
1. Information kept on your device
Your game data (coins, matches played and won, the pals, boards, frames, sticker and phrase packs you unlocked, your daily reward streak and missions, a match against the computer that was still going when the game closed, settings such as sound and music volume, and the year of birth you pick when you first open the game) is stored on your device. Uninstalling the game deletes it. The year of birth stays on your device; it is used to choose the right kind of ads, names and game modes (see section 8).
2. Playing on your own device
Matches against the computer and pass-and-play matches run entirely on your device. The game does not send your moves or any gameplay statistics to us.
3. Playing online (World Tour and Play with friends)
For online matches your device connects to our game server (ludo-pals.kyawthet.app, run on
Cloudflare) so everyone in the room sees the same match. In World Tour, when few people are online, computer players
("pals") fill the empty seats. For as long as the room is open, the server keeps only what the match needs:
- the 6-letter room code and a random player code made for that room (so you can reconnect, also after closing the game);
- your play name, made of two words from the game's own list (such as "HappyTiger"), so it is never your real name;
- if you are 13 or older and choose to, a name you type yourself. Before you can use it, the game sends it to our server to check it against rude words, numbers and links. Only players aged 13 or older see typed names; children always see the two-word names, and phones in kids mode can't send a typed name;
- the pal and avatar frame you show, your seat, the moves and dice rolls of the match, and the stickers and phrases sent in it;
- the number of coins your device has, so the room can tell which tables everyone can pay for. Your coins are kept and spent on your device; the server only reads the number.
This information is not linked to an account, is not used for advertising or analytics, and is deleted when the room closes (at the latest a few hours after it opens; usually minutes after the match ends or everyone leaves). We keep no logs of IP addresses. The other players in your room see your play name, pal, frame, moves and the stickers and phrases you send.
Any player can report a typed name from the match. It is then hidden for everyone in that room, and the name itself (only the text, with the codes of the rooms it was reported in; nothing about who typed or reported it) is kept so that a name reported in several rooms can't be used again.
4. Playing nearby (no internet)
Play nearby lets phones on the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot play together without the internet. One phone hosts the game and the others connect to it directly; nothing goes through our server. While a game is open, the host phone announces it on that local network with the room code, the host's play name and pal, so nearby players can find it. A typed name of a host aged 13 or older is announced too, and only phones of players 13 or older show it; children see the two-word name. The phones in the game exchange the same match information as in section 3, and it is gone when the game ends.
5. Saving your progress with Google Play Games (optional)
You can keep your progress (coins, what you unlocked, wins, missions and your daily streak) in your own Google account with Google Play Games, so a new phone or a reinstall gets it back. For players 13 or older the game signs in to Google Play Games by itself once the age is known; children are only signed in if they tap the button in Settings → Save progress, and for a child's Google account Google asks a parent. Playing never needs it.
When you use it, Google Play Games provides the game with your Play Games profile, and your progress is saved in Google's Saved Games for this game. This data is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; it is not sent to our server. You can delete it in your Play Games profile or in your Google Account.
6. Game content from our server
The game downloads its shop list (prices, packs, boards, tables) and pictures (pals, stickers, boards) from our server, and reads the server's clock so daily rewards can't be claimed again by changing the phone's time. These requests don't include any information about you.
7. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- information about ad interactions, app usage and diagnostics.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the game asks for your consent before ads are personalised, using Google's consent tool, and you can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
8. Children
When you first open the game, it asks for your year of birth. For players under 13 (kids mode):
- the game tells Google AdMob that the ads are for a child: ads are not personalised, the advertising ID is not used for advertising, and only ads rated for general audiences are shown, as Google Play's Families policy requires;
- names are only ever the two-word names from the game's list; children can't type a name and don't see typed names;
- World Tour tables have no entry fees (children get free challenges against the computer instead);
- Google Play Games is never signed in by itself (see section 5).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The online play data in section 3 is not linked to anyone and is deleted when the room closes.
9. Rewarded ads and coins
Some rewards (double coins after a win or on the daily reward, free coins in Missions) are offered for watching an ad. These are always optional. Coins can't be bought with real money and can't be exchanged for money or prizes; they are only for items and tables inside the game.
10. Security and sharing
We do not sell personal information. All data the game sends over the internet (to our server and to Google) is encrypted in transit. Nearby games stay on your local network.
11. Deleting your data
There is no Ludo Pals account to delete. Game data on your device is deleted when you uninstall the game (or clear its data in your device settings). Online room data is deleted automatically when the room closes. Progress saved with Google Play Games can be deleted in your Play Games profile (see section 5).
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
